Hi Friends

Hey Everybody!

We hope you all had a wonderful July 4th Weekend and didn't try any dangerous tricks with Fireworks.   Just wanted to remind everybody to come out and see all our beautiful ladies.  We have added a few new faces and a few old friends have come back as well.  Come check out the best club in the Capital Region!

what makes up the capital region

What exactly makes up the Capital Region

Not only are we the #1 spot for steamy adult entertainment, sexy exotic dancers and consistently voted the area’s top strip club, but with this article Capital Hideaway would like play the role of educator. (Yeah sure, we can make it naughty all nude schoolteacher trivia. We gotta stay true to our roots!)

But what towns, cities, villages and counties makes up the capital region?  We sent out our top investigative reporters (ok so it was really just one fat guy drinking beers with a laptop and grainy internet connection) and sought out some answers.  Here’s what we discovered!

The 11 counties of the Capital District are divided into 13 cities and 143 towns, with 62 villages that are inside one or more towns. The municipalities in the Capital District range in size from villages with a few hundred residents to Albany (the largest city) with over 95,000 and Colonie (the largest town) with over 79,000.

Bob's Bachelor Party 2-12-10

Congratulations to "Bob"  - He and all his buddies from Saratoga Springs had a ripping bachelor party this past Friday night to celebrate the last night of their buddies' freedom.  After some drinking in downtown Albany, the boys decided to hit up our strip club and get some lap dances!  Good luck Bob...

Charity Fundraiser for The US Military!

On February 3, 2010 Capital Hideaway hosted a Charity Event to raise money for the US Military.  A Donation at the door covered all the food and drinks as well as free pole dance lessons.  Unfortunately attendance was low but we do plan on trying it again soon as we are very thankful to our troops!  Not only are we the best strip club in the Area,  but we are also trying to help our military.

Thank you to our customers!

Capital Hideaway recently celebrated another Anniversary!  Thanks to all our great customers who continue to support the club.  We are New York's # 1 Destination for adult entertainment. We recently conducted a poll to see where our customers are traveling from and it seems the most popular cities are: (in no particular order) Albany NY, Troy NY, Pittsfield MA, Newtonville NY, Amsterdam NY, Ballston Spa NY, Clifton Park NY, Latham NY, Schenectady NY, Wynantskill NY, East Greenbush NY, North Greenbush NY, Bangkok Thailand.  We're still not sure if we believe the last one, but it does make us feel great that some of you travel so far to come join us!

Again Thank You for your continued support of the Capital Hideaway.

Keep checking back to the website for more information and updates.  Thanks!

Where is the Fun In the Capital Region (Albany, NY)?

Do you live in the Capital Region near Albany, NY and it’s surrounding areas.  Are you either new to the area or just getting a little frustrated with the lack of things to do?  Well we were up late last night too thinking of things to do (especially now since it’s dead of winter).  So we decided to reflect on the good, bad, and ugly of things to do in the capital region.

So what do you do in the area?

Well considering it’s unusual to find a 518’er (a person who lives in the Capital Region and uses the 518 area code) who doesn’t like to drink, let’s start with bars.  It’s probably a no-brainer that if you are looking for a “scene,” you are always better off hanging out down by Pearl street (and maybe Lark Street) in downtown Albany.  We understand that the scene gets expensive and or maybe even a little cheesy at times, but all in all, Pearl street is always a good time.  Bars like the Bayou Café (live Bands), Envy (good DJ’s), Jillians (a big dance area and lots of TVs), are usually consistently good on weekends.  You may find a cover but that’s the price you pay to follow the heard.  Another great place to check out is Blue 82, especially if you are in the mood for a little more relaxed setting.

On Lark Street, a proven winner is the Bomber’s Café.  It’s got great food with decent prices and lots of fun drinks.  You can get Mexican and American grub over there.  Lark street has a bunch of bars too but nothing particularly noteworthy at this time.  Please feel free to email us your opinions on bars in that area and we can add some ideas to this article.

Are you looking for new and exciting things to do in the Winter. Well let us know if you find anything.  Our list includes: fixing frozen pipes, shoveling snow, and jump starting hot chicks battery-drained cars in the WalMart Parking lot.  So again, feel free to suggest.

The exciting time to be in the Albany, NY area is during the summer. The area really glows with lots of lakes and greenery. (yeah blah blah blah - let's talk about the parties) Ok,First of all, you have the Saratoga Springs racetrack which is a great time.  Along with that you have all of Saratoga's great restaurants, clubs, and bars that come alive in the Summer.  You also have the Saratoga Performing Art’s Center (SPAC) and the full lineup of summer concerts. Albany’s Alive at Five is always a blast.  For those of you who don’t know what that is, basically the city of Albany and a bunch of sponsors set up a huge stage along the waterfront and showcase some decent bands every Thursday night.  Typically you will have heard of the band in some way but don’t expect the Rolling Stones or anything.  You will hear the lineup of bands in the spring and you will get excited, but expect your response to be something like, “wait, those guys are still around – they haven't put out a song in 15 years.”  In 2009, our favorite Alive at Five show was Blues Traveler.

After the bands finish up is when the madness usually begins.  The party moves back to Pearl Street and the street is roped off to form one big party.  There are live bands both on the street and inside the bars.  This is truly when the madness begins.  If you have never been to Alive at Five, you should give it a shot this summer.

Next, let’s move on to Strip Clubs.  Well, since we are being objective in this article, we will start off by saying that the best strip club to go is the Capital Hideaway in Wynantskill. ( www.capitalhideaway.com )   Not only is it the best gentlemen’s club in the area, but they have a brilliant staff of article writers who post on their website :)   Ok, so we will try a little harder to be objective.  The clubs in the area worth mentioning are Capital Hideaway, DiCarlo’s, NiteMoves, Double Vision, and Shenanigan’s.  None are particularly close to one another, but you can probably hit them all in one night if you wanted to.  DiCarlo’s has a full bar with topless dancers but does not offer any private dances.  Shenanigan’s and Double Vision also both offer liquor and topless dances.  Capital Hideaway and NiteMoves are the only 2 remaining All Nude Clubs in the area.  Both showcase all nude stage shows and offer nude private dances.

We wish you luck in your quest to find whatever it is that you consider Fun!
